Just to let you know that going forward I will be unable to accept referrals from patients wishing to use BUPA insurance unfortunately.
1) BUPA have stated I have not treated enough of their patients in the last 12 months to renew. I’m not alone as they are deregistering smaller and sole trader clinics across their network.
2) BUPA have refused to enter into negotiations with Physio clinics over the last few months regarding fees. They currently pay 35% below market prices for Physiotherapy which is unsustainable and we are told patients are not permitted to ‘top up’.
I have some very loyal, long-standing clients who are BUPA registered and I am sorry that patients will have less choice over where they receive their care but this one is out of my hands.
Existing BUPA clients can continue their treatment until July.
